High-Waisted Pant Believer and Occasional Sharer

eucalyptusby Maayan

Hi hi! Eucalyptus is my new favorite. Bridget came to visit and she always gets me flowers…religiously…because she’s that amazing. Truly one of the most giving people I’ve ever met…if not the most giving. Within minutes of her arriving and setting them up in mason jars (which make great flower vases if you don’t have any!) the whole apartment smelled divine and my association with it changed entirely. Smells and their ability to change a mood…I’m more aware of how lighting in a room has that effect but smell is a bit less explored for me.

The good news about eucalyptus:

  • cheap
  • easy
  • lasts forever
  • a little goes a long way
  • great gift to self or others

Here are smells I hate:

  • cooking food
  • animals in the house (like dogs or cat litter)
  • winter-time-fewer-windows-open
  • fireplace ash

Here is what dried eucalyptus smells like:

  • Woodsy
  • Fresh
  • Slightly minty
  • Slightly musky and sexy (for me!)
  • Lemony

You can also get it in a variety of colors to match your home decor (if you like..though it feels a bit Martha Stewart to me and I feel like a proper housewife saying so):

Color options to match your home (gentle eye roll)

On a total side note, some eucalyptus trees are GORGEOUS RAINBOW COLORED! Look!! More here.
