I’m formally announcing my pregnancy in the form of a rant–I don’t know what that says about me, but so it goes. I’m almost 5 months pregnant, and I’m starting to show (finally. Long torso=hidden baby for a long time). I hadn’t gone jogging in about a month, but finally this past week I got up the motivation to go out and do it again.
Ohhhh holy mammacakes, had my body changed. My center of balance is waaaay different. I can’t actually run–I can waddle. And that baby bump? With ever attempt at a jog step, the new weight of the growing fetus slammed down on my bladder. It was really fun.
So, I’m guessing I’ll have to give up jogging for the rest of this pregnancy, which…let’s be honest, I love having a REAL excuse to not have to go running. Now I can go on vigorous walks with zero guilt that I should kick it up into a higher gear. So there’s ONE item to be written down on the list of upsides to being knocked up…the rest are….I’m not sure. I’ll get back to you on that.
